Our program, which we realized on February 22, started with a speech by Gülay Faydasıçok, deputy chairman of the board of directors of HAFEV, describing the activities of the foundation. Ekrem Özdemir, Esra Gizem Kurt, Tansu Türkan, Mert Karakaya, one of HAFEV’s volunteer engineers, told the students about their engineering stories, why they chose engineering and the perspectives that engineering brought to them.
Funda Korkmaz, a student of Yildiz Technical University Electronics and Communication Engineering department, one of the Pearls in Pearl scholarship holders, explained in her presentation why she chose engineering and what social activities she participated in in university life. Finally, Sibel Soyak Eşder from the Technology Development Foundation of Turkey shared her experiences in many different business fields in different parts of the world with her undergraduate education in chemical engineering in her inspiring speech.
