Sabancı University in cooperation with EDU. We attended the Entrepreneurship Summit of Gebze High Technology University together with our scholarship holders on the first day at HAFEV Academy, which took place in May 10-11-12. We participated in the” Managerial Competencies Brought by Technological Transformation “session at the summit titled” Manage Transformation, Build the Future”. Held in the afternoon.
During the” Women Entrepreneurs in Technological Transformation” session, the Rector of Düzce University Prof. Dr. Moderated by Nigar Demircan Çakar, Fujitsu Marketing Director Meltem Yeğen, Opal Su General Manager Diler Ercan and PHI Tech Bioinformatics Co-Founder and GTU Faculty Member DR. Saliha Durmuş shared her experiences with the students in an inspiring interview.
Following our first day’s program, we conducted an interview about business life with the participation of Yeliz Turunç, Microsoft Middle East and Africa Business Development and Sales Manager, and Tuba Bayraktar, Executive Vice President of Ozak GYO Design. Our students asked experienced women managers questions they were curious about their educational lives and careers.
On the second day, our students received trainings that will contribute to their personal development at the Sabancı University EDU unit. The program started with the training of Ebru Yaşar Çekçek titled “Secrets of the Art of Influencing”. Our students learned about mistakes made in communication, the importance of body language for proper communication and how to use it with a two-hour interactive training.
On the training day, which continued with Expert Psychologist Duygu Bilgin’s “We Discover with Art” workshop, students received an education aimed at improving their communication skills by using different branches of art. With the guidance of the instructor Duygu Bilgin, they learned to know themselves better and to have a more comfortable relationship with others.
Our students who received their certificates at the end of the Academy relieved their fatigue at the Sabancı University Offtown Festival the same evening.
On the last day of the Academy, we had a pleasant Istanbul Tour accompanied by a guide. We visited Topkapi Palace, Hagia Sophia Museum, Blue Mosque and Maiden’s Tower. We completed the trip to Istanbul with our students from various provinces of Turkey and took them on a trip.
