Privacy Policy
As the Hasan Faydasıçok Education Foundation, we place great importance on individuals’ right to privacy and the protection of personal data. This Privacy Notice has been prepared to ensure the processing and sharing of personal data of relevant individuals, including our scholarship recipients, mentors, volunteers, and business partners, in compliance with the Law on Protection of Personal Data No. 6698 (“Law/KVKK”) and relevant legislation, within the scope of our projects.
Processed Personal Data
In order to carry out the personal data processing purposes specified in this Privacy Notice, we may process the following personal data:
Scholarship Recipients
- Name, surname, ID number, signature, place of birth, date of birth, place of registration, gender, and other identity information including information on your ID or driver’s license copy,
- Contact information including email address, phone number, including mobile phone,
- Residence information, address information including location information,
- CVs (including membership information of associations and foundations), past education and occupation information, diploma information, courses attended, information on memberships in NGOs and university clubs, and other education and experience information,
- Financial information including bank account information,
Information on criminal records, including information on criminal convictions and security measures,
- Information stated in health reports, disability status information, information on devices and prostheses used, and other health information,
- Information about family members,
- Information about hobbies and interests.
Mentors
- Name, surname, place of birth, date of birth, including identity information,
- Contact information including email address, mobile phone number,
- Address information,
- Education information including high school and university graduation,
- Professional information including the sector you work in, company name, and your position, including professional information and previous sector information you have worked in, Information about your mentoring experiences,
Information about your interests.
Donors
- Name, surname including identity information,
- Contact information including email address, phone number,
- Information about donations and aid.
Volunteers
- Name, surname, place of birth, date of birth including identity information,
- Contact information including email address, mobile phone number,
- Address information,
- Information about how you met with our Foundation and your previous volunteering experiences,
- Information about your volunteer activities at the Foundation.
Business Partners (School Managers, etc.) and Suppliers
Name, surname including identity information,
Contact information including email address, phone number.
Processing Purposes of Your Personal Data
We process your personal data for the following purposes:
- Facilitating communication with our Mezun Club members and mentors and organizing events and activities,
- Running the scholarship payment process,
- Enabling scholarship recipients to participate in internships, socio-cultural, and educational activities,
- Supporting scholarship recipients in finding mandatory internship placements and finding workplaces for them when they graduate,
- Running the Mentor-Mentee program,
- Managing online donations,
- Contacting business partners for organizing panels and events,
- Providing support services in various activities of the Foundation or conducting activities to increase the visibility of the Foundation,
- Ensuring the involvement of volunteers in Foundation activities and running the volunteering process,
- Running emergency management processes (such as ensuring communication between units and institutions in case of emergencies),
- Running educational activities (such as determining the suitability of scholarship recipients/scholarship candidate’s for relevant education programs),
- Conducting activities in compliance with the legislation (such as compliance with legal regulations like Law No. 5737 on Foundations),
- Running financial and accounting tasks (such as paying expenses, receiving donations),
- Monitoring and conducting legal affairs (such as ensuring individuals’ and the Foundation’s defense in potential lawsuits),
- Conducting communication activities (such as sending emails, making phone calls, sending e-newsletters and news related to our Foundation, and making announcements),
- Running business activities/audits,
- Running activities to ensure business continuity (such as renewing programs annually),
- Organizing and managing events (such as organizing panels and events, conducting speeches and surveys at organized panels and events, taking photos and videos of speakers and participants at these events and sharing them on our social media accounts, promoting engineering professions, etc.),
- Conducting social responsibility and civil society activities,
Providing information to authorized individuals, institutions, and organizations (such as responding to official correspondences and letters from official institutions and courts).
Method and Legal Basis for Collecting Your Personal Data
We collect your personal data through automatic means via electronic environments such as email and our website, CCTV, video conferencing, and through non-automatic methods such as physical forms, mail, cargo, or courier services, face-to-face meetings. We process your personal data based on the reasons stated in Article 5/2(c) of the KVKK, “The processing of personal data belonging to the parties of a contract is necessary, provided that it is directly related to the establishment or performance of a contract,” Article 5/2(ç) of the KVKK, “It is mandatory for the data controller to fulfill its legal obligations,” Article 5/2(e) of the KVKK, “The processing of data is mandatory for the establishment, use, or protection of a right,” and Article 5/2(f) of the KVKK, “It is mandatory for the data controller to process data for its legitimate interests, provided that it does not harm the fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject.”
Transfer and Transfers of Your Personal Data Domestic and Abroad
Your personal data may be transferred to legally authorized public institutions and organizations, judicial authorities, and law enforcement agencies in accordance with the data transfer and processing conditions specified in Articles 8 and 9 of the KVKK and within the scope of the security and confidentiality principles determined by the legislation to ensure the realization of the purposes mentioned above. In addition, we transfer your personal data to companies that mediate and cooperate with us in order to facilitate communication between scholarship recipients and donors and to facilitate your applications reaching the Foundation, based on Article 5(2)(e) of the Law and Article 5/2(f) of the KVKK. We may also transfer your name, surname, and contact information to our Mezun Club members and Faydasıçok Holding group companies to facilitate communication among our Mezun Club members.
Exception Provision
In case of situations requiring the processing of personal data within the scope of preventive, protective, and intelligence activities carried out by public institutions and organizations authorized by law for the purpose of ensuring national defense, national security, public security, public order, or economic security, as stated in Article 28(ç) of the KVKK, if such situations arise (such as epidemic diseases, natural disasters, identification of activities threatening national security, etc.), our Foundation is obliged to carry out the necessary personal data transfers to authorized public institutions and organizations. In these cases, since there is an exception provision in Article 28 of the KVKK, the KVKK will not be applicable. However, in any case, Hasan Faydasıçok Education Foundation will act in accordance with basic principles and the principle of proportionality in personal data processing activities carried out within this scope.
Retention and Disposal of Your Personal Data
Your personal data will be kept by our Foundation for a period of ten (10) years, unless there is a legal regulation to the contrary. After the expiration of these periods and if our Foundation no longer has any legal reason to process your personal data, your personal data will be immediately deleted, destroyed, or anonymized in accordance with the relevant provisions of the KVKK, the “Regulation on the Deletion, Destruction, or Anonymization of Personal Data,” and our Foundation Policies. Your Rights Regarding Your Personal Data
You can request information about all of the following regarding your personal data at any time:
- Learning whether your personal data is processed,
- Requesting information if your personal data has been processed,
- Learning the purpose of processing personal data and whether they are used in accordance with the purpose,
- Knowing the third parties to whom your personal data is transferred domestically or abroad,
- Requesting correction of your personal data if it is incomplete or incorrectly processed and, within this context, requesting that the transactions made be notified to the third parties to whom your personal data has been transferred,
- Requesting the deletion or destruction of your personal data if the reasons for processing disappear and, within this context, requesting that the transactions made be notified to the third parties to whom your personal data has been transferred,
- Objecting to the occurrence of a result against you by analyzing the processed data exclusively through automated systems,
- Requesting compensation in case of damages due to unlawful processing of personal data.
Ways to Exercise Your Rights
You can request your rights regarding personal data by applying in accordance with the application procedures stipulated in the Communique on Principles and Procedures for Application to the Data Controller. If you want to exercise your rights under the KVKK, you can make your request along with documents identifying you:

If the application is made electronically via Registered Electronic Mail (KEP) with a secure electronic signature; a written application will be made to the email address

Additionally, after other methods determined by the Board are announced and these methods are announced by our Foundation, applications will be accepted through these methods.
